Measures to limit the risk of COVID-19 infection

The measures approved in the Decision of the Executive Board of 11 March 2020 remain valid during the period of emergency.

In order to limit the risk of Covid 19 infection, and in accordance with the recommendations of the National Council of Rectors, the Executive Board of Transilvania University of Brașov decides:

1) suspension of all face to face activities with the students during the period 12-29.03.2020;

2) reorganization of the didactic activities in the online system, resorting to the e-learning platform (https://elearning.unitbv.ro), as follows:

  1. the teachers are compelled to ensure the uploading / updating of the course materials and other bibliographic materials necessary for the educational process on the e-learning platform;
  2. the deans of the faculties, the heads of departments, and the coordinators of the study programs shall monitor this process; the deans of the faculties shall send, twice a week, to the Rector and to the Vice-Rector for Didactic Activities, the report on the activity carried out in the online system;
  3. from 16.03.2020, on the e-learning platform, video-conferencing facilities will be provided;
  4. in order to access the e-learning platform, the username and the password of the institutional account are required;
  5. the activities that cannot be carried out through the e-learning platform shall be rescheduled during the second semester, according to a plan approved by the heads of departments, which will be communicated to the Vice-Rector for Didactic Activities;

3) all the events scheduled to take place at UniTBv during the period 12-29.03.2020 shall be canceled or rescheduled;

4) all the trips of the teaching staff and the student mobility scheduled during 12-29.03.2020 are suspended;

5) the activity of the teaching and non-teaching staff is carried out according to the normal work schedule;

6) the administrative services shall take measures for the sanitation of all the spaces and for the intensification of the specific prophylactic measures;

7) any new decision regarding the future didactic activity will be posted on the university's website.

The representatives of the university recommend to all members of the academic community (teaching, auxiliary-didactic and administrative staff; undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students; as well as residents) to strictly comply with the rules of individual and collective hygiene, and to avoid crowded places (cinemas, restaurants, malls, etc.).
