Transilvania University of Brașov ranks 5^th among Romanian universities (along with three other universities) in the international top “Times Higher Education - 2021”, which analyses the impact that higher education institutions have on society.  

Transilvania University of Brașov can be found in Times Higher Education international top, along with 9 other universities of Romania. 

The first places among the Romanian institutions are held by the University of Bucharest (301-400) and Babeș Bolyai University (401-600).

Transilvania University of Brașov ranks 601-800. 

Impact Rankings 2021 evaluates the participating universities according to how they apply the sustainable development goals set by the UN. The established indicators include poverty reduction, gender equality, economic growth, activities to protect the climate and the environment, responsibility for consumption and production etc. 

Transilvania University of Brașov has the highest score for the “partnerships” indicator. In this regard, UNITBV is the first among the Romanian universities. The higher-education institution of Brașov has also obtained an important score in terms of “eliminating poverty”, where the activities and support offered by our university both to students with a precarious financial condition and to the disadvantaged local community, were analysed. In this regard, in Romania, Transilvania University is surpassed only by USAMV Cluj Napoca. This year's ranking included 1.115 universities from 94 countries, with over 300 universities more than last year.
