Opening of 2022-2023 Academic Year
The opening event of the 2022-2023 academic year will take place on Monday, 3 October, from 11:00 a.m., at “Sergiu Chiriacescu” Conference Centre. The event will be honoured with the presence of the Rector, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ioan Vasile Abrudan, of the President of the University Senate, Prof. Dr. Eng. Mircea Horia Țierean, as well as of the faculty deans and Brașov county officials.
Also on Monday, 3 October, most of the inaugural courses will be held at all 18 faculties of the University. The full course schedule can be consulted HERE.
From 5:00 p.m., the event “Student LogIn” dedicated to all first-year students will begin on Colina University Campus, where the freshmen will be welcomed with music, games, contests and prizes. The upperclassmen will be here in their turn to give advice to their younger peers. From 7:00 p.m., DJ Manuel Riva will keep the party moving at the turntables.
On the same occasion, from 6:00 p.m., “Sergiu Chiriacescu” Conference Centre will host the opening of the Concert Season. Valentin Șerban, winner of the Grand Prize of George Enescu International Competition, 2020/2021 edition, will give a violin and piano recital, together with the beloved pianist Dragoș Dimitriu.
