Training Needs Assessment in the Field of Sustainable Tourism Development
Until 20 December 2024
Within the project WeNaTour, financed through the Erasmus+ programme, we conduct a training needs assessment in order to identify the most basic skills and knowledge required in the field of sustainable tourism development. The project aims at creating an innovative training programme, which is adapted to the market demands, and which will prepare professionals for the challenges and opportunities of this ever-growing sector.
We are interested in finding the opinion of everyone working or studying in the field of tourism, but also willing to reorient their careers in order to approach this topic from the perspective of sustainable development. Tourism professionals, students or people eager to acquire new skills in this field can express their opinions, which will play a key role in the development of a high-quality training programme that is designed to meet the needs of the emerging tourism markets The training programme will begin in 2025, and this questionnaire is the first step towards the production of teaching materials on the sustainable development of tourist destinations.
The fill-out of the questionnaire will underpin a curriculum including:
- The Sustainable Tourism Online Training Programme
- The European Specialization Programme on Sustainable Tourism
- Vocational Education Training courses on nature and tourism
The obtained results will help develop teaching materials and set educational goals, all of them aimed at training professionals capable of fulfilling the role of Sustainability Managers for Tourism Destinations.
The questionnaire is available at: https://wenatour.eu/project-updates/training-needs-analysis-questionnaire/
