Games of Science is a national programme through which the young researchers learn to popularise their research in short formats, for various audiences, in a way that fosters interest and invites to dialogue.
Why participate in Games of Science?
Games of Science is more than mere training or a simple competition. It is a community for young researchers that offers its members:
- practical training in order for them to talk about their research in public, within 15 - 120 second formats;
- peer learning, feedback and support in order for them to continue the public communication after the competition as well;
- a competitive “tournament” setting that boosts the pressure and dynamics of real-life communication situations and tests the things learned during the training.
The previous editions counted up over 35 training sessions, 700 registrations from all over the country, and 200 alumni who are active in a community that continuously discusses science and research with the most diverse audiences.
Who can register for Games of Science?
Games of Science is open to the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, as well as to the researchers in all fields, with the recommended age between 20 and 35 years, eager to get involved in promoting science to the general public. No previous experience is required, as the programme is designed precisely as a space for learning and practicing.
