FAR traveling exhibition arrives at Brașov

23 June – 1 July, Multicultural Centre

The traveling exhibition “FAR | 12 Photographers of Romanian Architecture” organized by igloo with the support of the Order of Romanian Architects arrives between 23 June and 1 July at the Multicultural Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov.

The FAR project captures the creation of 12 photographers of our land, as well as their vision on architecture and built space, proposing a generous foray into the dimension of architectural photography, an emerging field in the Romanian cultural landscape and less known to non-specialized public.
Not coincidentally, most of the selected photographers are also architects: Alexandru Crișan, Cosmin Dragomir, Vlad Eftenie, Laurian Ghinițoiu, Dacian Groza, Radu Malașincu, Andrei Mărgulescu, Ovidiu Micșa, Vlad Pătru, Ștefan Tuchilă, Arthur Țințu and Șerban Bonciocat.

The exhibition also brings to the public’s attention the album “FAR. 12 Photographers of Romanian Architecture”, released in 2018 in the igloobooks collection, which includes a relevant cut-out from the aforementioned photographers ‘creation, as well as interviews that complete each photographer’s unmistakable profile. The album contains theoretical texts signed by Augustin Ioan, Iosif Király and Dorin Ștefan, and the preface is written by Françoise Pamfil.
