UNITBV maintains its position in Times Higher Education ranking
under “Emerging Economies” section
Entered for the first time in the ranking, under this category, in March 2021, Transilvania University of Brașov remains, during the year 2022 as well, on the 501+ position in the international top Times Higher Education, under the section “Emerging Economies”.
Unlike the 2021 ranking, 698 universities from all over the world were analysed for this edition, that is, with 92 more than last year. The number of Romanian universities also increased from 13 to 16. Along with Transilvania University of Brașov, in position 501+, there are 11 other Romanian universities, mentioned in alphabetical order.
With a view to doing the ranking, the same 13 performance indicators used in “The World University Rankings” were taken into account to classify the institutions according to teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. The ranking Times Higher Education – “Emerging Economies” includes only institutions in countries classified by the London Stock Exchange’s FTSE Group as “Advanced Emerging”, “Secondary Emerging” or “Frontier”.
Transilvania University of Brașov entered Times Higher Education general list for the first time in September 2020.
