PAPERCUTS. Festival of Poetry on Page
18-19 October 2024, Multicultural Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov and Tipografia Café
Papercuts will be a festival of poetry as an artistic craft, as a double process, both creative and critical, individual, but also plural, of edited, rewritten and revised poetry, namely of the poetry travelling the distance from the dictation of the mind to the book page where it can act as a complex mechanism of words and lines capable of triggering effects and eliciting emotions in anyone and anywhere, even far from the writer’s actual presence. Papercuts will bring to Brașov outstanding contemporary poetic voices, whether established or emerging, as well as publishers of poetry who have edited impactful and successful collections.
Papercuts. Festival of Poetry on Page will take place between 18 and 19 October 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Multicultural Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov and Tipografia Café, and will have as guests Svetlana Cârstean, Alex Ciorogar, Dan Coman, Mina Decu, Florin Dumitrescu and OBEAH, Emilian Galaicu-Păun, Mugur Grosu, Cristina Ispas, Claudiu Komartin, Mihók Tamás, Iulia Militaru, Dmitri Miticov, Florin Partene, Simona Popescu, George State and Mezzin band.
