Having reached a decade of activity, the Music Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov keeps reaffirming its essential role in the city’s artistic and academic life, and this year it celebrates the University’s Dayby reiterating a cherished and awaited tradition: The 1 March Concert.

The University’s Concert Season crosses thereby an anniversary threshold that definitively ratifies the full concordance between the ethos of the constant commitment to excellence and the entire history of the Centre. Each of the 10 editions was an opportunity to elevate the cultural landscape of Brașov through the acknowledged artists’ presence, but also to promote exceptional young musicians at the beginning of their careers.

The protagonist of this year’s concert, Gusztáv Királyhalmi, proposes a wide-ranging repertoire, which intertwines the poetic introspection of Romanticism with the energy of the virtuosic discourse. We invite you to accompany us on a journey through the varied expressive registers of the piano, transposed into the colours of the melodic refinement and dramatic force inherent in the musical universes of Liszt, Chopin and Enescu.

The event will take place on 1 March 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in “Sergiu T. Chiriacescu” Conference Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov. The entrance is free within the limit of available seats.
