AFCO 2026 has announced its winners

15 May 2026

The event “Graduates in Front of the Companies” announced the winners of its 14th edition yesterday. Rențea Diana, Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, is the winner of AFCO 2026 grand prize. Her project, “Nexus Sieve: The Zero-Trust Multitenant Layer for Cross-App Orchestration”, was declared by the jury as the competition’s best achievement. Moreover, the companies’ prize was awarded: Strugari Elena Rodica, on behalf of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, as well. Elena impressed the company representatives with her project “Eneris - Autonomous and Adaptive Energy Optimization for Smart Homes”.

The event was attended by approximately 500 students, with each of them presenting his/her bachelor’s thesis or dissertation to the jury. As regards these research papers and projects, each of them was assigned to one of the 10 sections, according to its corresponding field or faculty major. In this framework, the winner of each section was also selected:

The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science stood out at this year’s edition, with the highest number of submitted projects - 83.

We take pride in all our students who enthusiastically defended their research papers, and presented ideas and solutions in various fields to the jury and economic partners. Furthermore, the companies talked to the students and presented their job market offer.

In the evening, the event closed with “Broadway Echoes”, a grand show performed by Simfonietta Academică, the orchestra of the Faculty of Music within Transilvania University of Brașov, under maestro Traian Ichim’s baton.
