Habilitation & Recognition
Habilitation procedure
The habilitation procedure is the process whereby the quality of doctoral supervisor is granted. The habilitation thesis - to be defended before a specialist committee - reflects the candidate’s scientific activity and professional career after having been awarded the doctor’s degree, but also presents the prospects for the career development.
The procedure is valid only for the doctoral fields accredited or authorised to operate at UNITBV and complies with the norms of academic ethics and deontology, both regarding the candidate’s achievements and the evaluation thereof.
Regulations regarding the habilitation
Applicants who have already acquired the capacity of doctoral supervisors outside Romania do not have to follow the habilitation procedure, but need the university’s recognition according to the following Methodology
Habilitation fee*
- 7,000 RON – if all the specialist committee members are from Romanian
- 10,000 RON – if the specialist committee comprises members from outside Romania
